For the football uninitiated, this is Fernando Torres, one of Spain's brightest prospects and now, Liverpool FC player! YES!! I have been an admirer of Torres since the World Cup last year. And I bought him into my Liverpool team in FM06/07 long ago :)
Here are some answers to what critics have been saying about the signing of Torres for 27m pounds.
- 1) He's not worth 27m pounds.
--> Agreed. Unfortunately in this era of overpriced football players, this is the amount you need to spend in order to get a talent. Case in point... Darren Bent, who cost more than the mighty Thierry Henry. Blame Chelsea for inflating every footballer's prices.
- 2) He didn't score 20 goals in La Liga so he won't score 20 goals for Liverpool
--> Once again, agreed. He won't score 20 goals for Liverpool in his first season. Drogba and Henry also didn't score 20 goals for Chelski and Arsenal in their first season. More importantly, a winning team does not need to depend on a striker who can bang in super amount of goals. Case in point... Man-U's 06/07 league win. Yes, they had a free scoring Ronaldo but they didn't have the top scorer (Drogba). In 05/06 when Chelsea won, the top scorer was Henry and not from Chelsea.
2nd season with Liverpool, Torres should be able to get very close to 20 goals or surpass it. If not, I am absolutely certain Liverpool's team goals will improve significantly with kuyt and torres getting close to 20 goals.
John's prediction for 07/08 season. Dirk Kuyt will be Liverpool's top scorer. Because Torres will pull defenders away from Kuyt and Kuyt can finally have more space to breathe.
- 3) There are better players out there.
--> yes yes, agreed again. Who, Eto'o? Villa? Both will cost in excess of 30m pounds and they are just as likely to turn out into a failure. How about Darren Bent, Miltio(sp?), Owen, Eduardo, Quaresma. Except for Bent, the rest are unproven, injury prone, old and cannot fit into Liverpool's playing style. Bent was the most promising of the lot BUT (yes i'm being racist here) there's just something about Black strikers flopping for Liverpool. (John Barnes was a midfielder ;) )
Torres is also unproven but buying players is always a gamble, look at how much chelsea has lost gambling on Scheva and Ballack. At least he's young at 23yrs old, is not injury prone and has the right mentality which is hardworking and being a Liverpool fan. Plus, the chicks dig him. haha ;)

How a Woman bathes & How a Man bathes
I think I bathe like a woman...
- I have 4 different types of facial foam... 1 for morning, 1 for moisturising (used once a wk), 1 for scrubbing pores and 1 for deep cleansing.
- I have 2 shampoos also. I have conditioner but i don't really use it as my hair is short.
- I have 2 diff body soaps, 1 is dettol menthol gel for when I want to feel cool, the other is my usual shokubutsu anti-bacterial soap for ultimate cleanliness haha
- I have 2 diff exfoliating items, 1 is a pair of gloves and the other is a thick netting thing on a stick.
- I like to always stand on the bath mat. in fact I have 3 bath mats in my bathroom so outside of shower area is completely dry and clean.
- My towels are are thick and huge, enough to wrap around 20 Somalis ;)
BUT, I don't shave my legs & armpit or adjust my boobs :P
P.S. Here's a point to ponder... I like Harisu, so does that make me Gay?? hahahaha

The Funeral entry
Well, when I did my last entry below, my maternal grandma passed away. Things were pretty hectic, lots of funeral arrangements to do and had 1wk leave from work to manage the wake.
The most difficult part of it all was seeing the coffin go into the chamber for cremation at Mandai Crematorium. Nice place the crematorium but I still couldn't take it and had to leave the room to the comforts of playing my PSP.
The Guild entry
So I run a guild of around 50++ people on the World of Warcraft but I'm having a typical Singaporean issue in my guild. People keep on leaving cuz there are no regular raids to the dungeons. I say Singaporean problem is cuz those guildies who left are sitting around waiting for something to happen instead of lifting a finger and helping out to help themselves. Only know how to complain, dunno anything else haha. I tell u ah, I get more stress from running a guild than doing my real life job haha 
Anyways, I've learnt to heck care. I studied the population dynamics of WoW and at the end of the day, my guild is still the friendliest and most relaxing place to WoW

Crazy Russians, I'll stay miles away from any football match if I were ever to visit Russia. But one very impt thing should be noted, these fights are arranged and they follow rules very strictly. No weapons, no stamping on a guy who's down and no involving the public.

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY.. after 5++ longgg years of planning, preparation, researching and psyching disapproving parents and grandma up to get a pet. I've always wanted a pet since I was a kid.
Now is the time... YAY!
P.S. The Ragdoll Cat holds the World Record for the largest Domestic Breed cat in the world. The pic below is a typical young adult male which is still growing
